One of the biggest upgrades in this model is the dual-lens camera plus a side camera. With two lenses instead of one, you get wide-angle videos and super-detailed bird photos captured separately. And, the sleek and modern design in green adds a fresh, stylish look - perfect if you’re into a more techy, sophisticated aesthetic.

When the wide-angle lens detects motion, the new portrait lens automatically tracks the target and records a short video. Using built-in AI, it picks out the best frames and sends these bird portrait photos straight to your Birdfy app. So, it’s all about capturing those extra detailed bird photos!

The main camera (Birdfy Cam 2 Pro) is equipped with two lenses: the one on top is a 3MP lens with 2K resolution that can rotate and track movements. The bottom one is a 2MP lens with 1080P resolution featuring a wide-angle, fixed view, similar to the BF 1's camera, where the frame remains static.
The side camera (Birdfy Cam 2) has a single 2MP lens with 1080P resolution, like the one on the BF 1. It captures wide-angle videos, letting you admire the birds from a side view.

You'll get a front-view wide-angle video, a few front-view wide-angle photos, and some portrait photos (higher resolution and square-shaped) from the main camera. And, you'll receive a side-view wide-angle video and a few side-view wide-angle photos from the side camera.

You can easily switch between the front (Birdfy Cam 2 Pro) and side view (Birdfy Cam 2) by clicking on 'My Devices' in the Birdfy app.

The BF 2 series can operate within a temperature range of 14°F to 122°F (-10°C to 50°C). If the temperature falls outside this range, the camera may not boot up or record moment videos. The BF 2 series is IP66 waterproof, making it capable of withstanding rain and snow. The solar panel is also water-resistant and functions well in any weather.

It connects via Wi-Fi, specifically on the 2.4GHz frequency. Why 2.4GHz? Compared to 5GHz, it offers a wider range and stronger signal through walls, making it ideal for outdoor use. This frequency is a common standard for most security cameras and smart devices, ensuring a stable and reliable connection.

Your bird videos and photos are stored in the cloud, so no need to worry about using up your local storage (phew!). Birdfy offers FREE cloud storage for an unlimited number of clips, but with a 30-day retention period. If you want longer storage, you can upgrade to a 60-day plan. Just be sure to download or collect your favorite moments before they disappear.
