One of the biggest upgrades in this model is the dual-lens camera. With two lenses instead of one, you get wide-angle videos and super-detailed bird photos captured separately. Plus, the sleek and modern design in green adds a fresh, stylish look - perfect if you’re into a more techy, sophisticated aesthetic.
When the wide-angle lens detects motion, the new portrait lens automatically tracks the target and records a short video. Using built-in AI, it picks out the best frames and sends these bird portrait photos straight to your Birdfy app. So, the new lens is all about capturing those extra-detailed bird photos!
The one on top is a 3MP lens with 2K resolution that can rotate and track movements. The bottom one is a 2MP lens with 1080P resolution featuring a wide-angle, fixed view, similar to the BF 1's camera, where the frame remains static.
You'll receive a wide-angle video, a few wide-angle photos, and a few portrait photos (higher resolution and square-shaped).
Every BF2 model comes with a built-in battery and a charging cable, just charge it up indoors and enjoy wireless outdoor use with one charge! For the Pro and Duo models, it gets even better - they come with a solar panel. Simply plug it in, and you’ll hardly need to worry about charging again. Talk about convenience!
Once your smart feeder is connected to the Birdfy app, you can watch the bird buffet right from your phone! The Birdfy app is free to download and offers live streaming, auto-recorded clips, instant alerts, and even monthly visitor recaps - all for free!

Ensure your device is fully charged before starting the pairing process. Download the latest version of the Birdfy app from the App Store or Google Play. After downloading, create an account, select 'Add Device' on the home page, choose the product you purchased, and follow the in-app instructions to pair your device.
*Please make sure you are using a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
It connects via Wi-Fi, specifically on the 2.4GHz frequency. Why 2.4GHz? Compared to 5GHz, it offers a wider range and stronger signal through walls, making it ideal for outdoor use. This frequency is a common standard for most security cameras and smart devices, ensuring a stable and reliable connection.
The Birdfy app offers three types of cloud services:
AI Bird Recognition– Identifies bird species and generates daily feeder highlights.
Collection Storage– Expands storage space for clips you want to keep permanently in the cloud.
Moment Video Recording– Extends the length of auto-recorded clips.
Your bird videos and photos are stored in the cloud, so no need to worry about using up your local storage (phew!). Birdfy offers FREE cloud storage for an unlimited number of clips, but with a 30-day retention period. If you want longer storage, you can upgrade to a 60-day plan. Just be sure to download or collect your favorite moments before they disappear.
