How can I deter squirrels from my feeder-Birdfy Feeder Bamboo
How can I deter squirrels from my feeder?
1. Spicy seeds: Sprinkle some cayenne pepper or chili powder on your bird seeds. Birds don’t mind the spice, but squirrels hate it and will avoid eating it.
2. Baffles: Install baffles on your feeder poles to prevent squirrels from climbing up or jumping down. These cone-shaped or tube-shaped devices create an unstable surface for squirrels to grip on.
3. Slinky: Attach a slinky toy to your feeder pole so that it hangs down around it. When a squirrel tries to climb up or down, the slinky will bounce and drop them off.
4. Decoy feeders: Scatter seeds on the ground to serve as a decoy for squirrels. You could also set up a separate decoy feeder for them, away from the Birdfy.
