Video Storage and Access

For the Birdfy Feeder, Birdfy Camera, and Birdfy Feeder Bamboo, there are two storage options available: cloud and SD card:

Cloud Storage:

You can store motion detection events either for free or with a subscription. Events stored for free are 20 seconds long and are kept for 30 days.
Subscribed events are 30 seconds long and are retained for up to 60 days. For more information, please visit Birdfy EVR Event Video Recording Service.

SD Card:

You may also use a Class 10 microSD card (up to 128 GB) to store videos locally. A 128GB microSD card can hold between 700 to 1056 hours of video.
If you opt for SD card storage, your videos will automatically upload to the cloud service as well.
Please note: Choosing this storage option does not change the length of motion detection events, which remain 20 seconds long without a subscription. It simply provides additional control over your video storage.

For the Birdfy Nest, video storage is automatically managed via the cloud:

Purchasing an additional SD card will not increase storage capacity for the SD card option.
