Does selecting the higher resolution consume more power?
No. The resolution setting only affects video quality and stream smoothness. Once streaming begins, the main controller runs continuously, meaning power consumption remains constant regardless of the chosen resolution. We recommend plugging in your camera during live streaming.
RTMP streaming offers three resolution options:
- Max Quality (HD): Best for good network conditions
- Balanced (MD): Suitable for moderate connections
- Max Speed (SD): Recommended for poor network conditions
Note: The current app version (1.13.2) defaults to SD resolution, but you'll need to manually adjust it to your preferred setting. Future versions will default to HD resolution.
